Right so were we at? Had a pretty productive week so far been riding everyday and getting some stuff together for the next vid. My Days seem pretty split at the moment . Int morning i take dog out this also doubles as a good time to recki new spots and its probably were i do most of my thinking (yeah deep) then its ride time i’ve mostly been riding alone this week so i’ve been hitting spots up and Mr tripods had the filming honors, after that its chill time get back import the days take and feast on food and wine, not a bad life. So the weathers been mite this week but i’ve just looked out today and the rains back so i’m going to dig my DH bike out today as the first NPS or whatever there called nows less than a month away, quite looking forward to getting back on the beast. Right thats pretty mush it,photo below is my new fav spot..

So i’ve Put the fixed bike to bed for a bit, well its still in the bike bag and prob won’t come out for a bit, to be honest my balls need a rest. I’m guessing if your reading this you’ve seen the vid, hope you enjoyed, its a bit of fun really but thats what riding is to me, fun and maybe doing odd things sometimes.But if you think its shit i don’t care ,i enjoyed the experience, but i must say it seams to be going down pretty well . So after having a couple of days off i dug the mountain bike out for a ride, felt real funny not having to pedal all the time but i found myself doing it anyway. So i was out and about pretty early this morning thought i’d have a gentle chilled spin over the moors but found i was getting pretty bored , so as usual things got tech i cant leave it alone. So a steady ride turned into me nearly killing myself trying some daft line over some rocks, same old really but it was good to be back in the shity rocky stuff. So whats next ? well you’ll just have to see, but i’m going to get on it , i’m off to make a dolly for my Camera tonight so i can get all pro on your ass , may even do some of that focus shift stuff next time out! Anyway kettles boiled……..

So i’ve just finished and uploaded my latest offering MAURICE.0 . It wasn’t without its problems i have to say, id got a new camera just before going out to barca and had little time to run through the setting to check things worked. Anyway id over looked something which has caused me to grow a gray hair over the last two days, but with a little/lot of help from my friends i got there. Pretty happy with it but i’m over looking at a computer screen for now. so thats me done. So i’m back home now, yesterday we “my mate came and hold my hand, thanks Deej” got most of the new Fixed Podder done but by six i’d had enough and turned to the cider. Going to have another play in a bit and see how it looks, hopefully get it all done for later tonight or early tomorra. Its looking quite different to my first one but hopefully in a good way “i’ll let you decide” . So my last day in Barca was a pretty chilled one, Ed and myself ” sorry forgot to mention my filmer was non other that Ed Tongue, yeah super talented ex trials rider turned BMXer was holding the camera and even managed to get about one clip gunning a super long rail to 180off, Eds one of the most talented and stylish riders i know and hopefully i’ll be working on some projects with him on the other side of the lens sometime soon” anyway, the last day was super chilled just hit up a couple of spots until i decided to throw myself of a rail into a bank, this resulted in me trying to bail over the bars only to get tangled in my gate of a bike ” dont get me wrong my fixie is rad but there just a big bike and hard to get away from when the shit hits the fan” “ha ha, so pro” so as i said it all went wrong i got tangled up and ended up nipping my sack on the stem, good times ! After that i was over it we chilled down to the beach and took in the rays over a beer. So thats it, back home to the wind and rain. Oh i did go back to a old spot that id rode, its the swing i rode up and off in the video Trial Noir it still looks big and i was glad i didn’t have to rock it again. I’ll try fing the link and put it at the end off this blog and include a photo. Thats all folks, going to get high on coffee and get in the edit …..

Feeling over it this morning, yesterady was a real nightmare and has left me feeling totally spent. When i put my hand on the bar i knew things were going to be steady i’d had a bad hand injury over christmas and after a heavy lander “make that about 10 ” re aggravated it. But that said we got going but found nothing apart from a 100 mile slog round the city, real slim picking but the sun was out and saw a load of rad building and the like. After the tour de Barca we got back down to the seaside and back to a line id tried the over day “the puncture thirsty sharp and dirty one” after another 4 punchers a good slam and a slashed tyre and no result it was time to call it a day, like all good art its knowing when to stop. So today is the last full day and just about to head out, the plan is to chill drink coffee take in the rays maybe have a gentle session by the sea…..

Today was a bit of a bust. Got going pretty early as we wanted to ride a spot thats popular with the skaters, after the usual coffee and stale ham baguette we were on it. Not sure if its the amount of riding about thats catching up with me of the shitty night sleep i had last night due to the next door neighbors playing hide the sausage but today was hard going. After hitting the aforementioned spot we went across the city to attempt something i’d failed the over day, after what felt like a million goes plus three tubes i was still left with nothing but a flat to ride back with. Feeling pretty beat tonight so we’ve got some beers in to aid the rest and recuperation process and hopefully tomorrow will bring the sun and a new lease of life. Thats me done….PHOTO moments before i nearly lost my balls.

So it was day four of the trip today and i was feeling pretty tired when i jumped on the bike this morning. Weather was pretty over cast and stayed that way most of the day till it eventually started to rain. But apart from the rain and the tired body it was a fairly fruitful day in all, pulled a new move that i was real pleased with but i’ll let you wait till the vid goes up to see what that was. As we were rained off we came back to the hotel to chill, i decided to start laying up the footage in a time line to see how things are going and i’m happy with the progress so far but need to step it a bit to get the job done. So thats it, will try get some photos up at some point but have miss placed my card reader atm. Pizza on the cards tonight maybe even risk a swift half……..

Right so just got back to hotel after the first full day of the trip. Weathers been a bit patchy today, raining this morning but the sun made an appearance this afternoon. Riding wise it was pretty chilled after a slow start this morning we hit a grove in the afternoon and started to get some footage down. In total i had three punctures today really not cool plus i put a pretty impressive dint in my rime and totally ripped the arse out of a tyre on this dirty line i found “which i now have to go back to tomorrow to pull”. So as i said back at the hotel now , just got a couple of beers in and looking over todays footage, not bad but must try harder tomorra. Right thats me, peace out…….

Had a hectic day today totally flat out, Just have time for a quick update then early night. So why the early night ? because tomorrow i’m up early doors to the airport, i’m off away for a week to film for my next podder
which will be done and ready to view in just over a weeks time. So which bike i hear you say, well i had a little think and i decided to do another fixed gear session. So last week i dusted down Maurice and saw that it was looking a bit sad and in need of a face lift. A couple of phone calls later i had a face lift pack sorted. The last time i rode the Maurice was riding across the giant horse in the last video, thats quite a while ago so its going to be pretty fun getting back on the old beast. Right so thats that, will try to post something up from?? I’ll give you a update on proceedings . Couple of pics here of the fettled Maurice, my thanks to HOPE and CHARGE for sorting the new kit out .. ps, you haven’t lost me to Fixed riding. This years going to redefine diverse thats all………
